A Homemade Christmas is not a new concept. People have been making presents for others since the beginning of time and cultivating the landscape to bring a little of the outside world indoors. A homemade Christmas is routed in tradition and overall just feels warm, celebrated, and nostalgic.
Thanksgiving is the major holiday that jump starts the grandiose holiday season. That also means lots and lots of traveling for many. I have been reading a lot recently about the benefits of bone broth and I have spent the near $6 to try it. I don’t care what they say, it is NOT good enough to drink (in my opinion). Unless, you like salt less chicken water, then by all means! GO FOR IT!
Part of the Homesteading process is acquiring animals; though, I am sure you can have a vegetarian homestead. When you have animals, however, you have a higher sense of responsibility to take care of another living being. Something with a pulse. Beyond alcohol, there is a fermented craze happening. Everything from fermented veggies to kefir water to apple cider vinegar to kombucha. The newest ways to satisfy gut health is slowly becoming a revolution (seriously, stop eating commercial yogurt, though[there is waaay too much sugar and not enough probiotics]). You can be a part of this gut health parade or sit on the sides.
